Welcome and Information Center CoordinatorWoodberry Forest School, located in Madison, VA, is an exceptional private boarding school community for high school boys in grades nine through twelve.
It is one of the top boarding schools in the United States and one of the only all-boys, all-boarding schools in the country.
Woodberry's 1,200-acre campus is the largest for boarding schools in Virginia, and one of the largest private school campuses in the country.
The Welcome and Information Center Coordinator is the embodiment of all things Woodberry:
professional, polished, welcoming, confident, knowledgeable, and kind.
As the center point for all administrative offices, the Coordinator is charged with ensuring all internal and external guests to the Walker Lobby or those who call into the main switchboard experience the best parts of Woodberry culture.
This is a hourly staff position reporting directly to the Dean of Students Office.
Coordinator Job Duties and
Qualifications:
Provides exceptional customer service to all students, parents, employees, and visitors.
Displays an above average sense of hospitality to all school constituents.
Understands, personifies, and upholds school values and expectations.
Knows how to initiate appropriate rapport while building long-term, constructive, and effective relationships.
Seamlessly manages a warm and welcoming Walker Lobby environment at all times, ensuring it is fully stocked and refreshments are aligned for events.
Addresses any concerns with that expectation immediately.
Relates well with a diverse population of people, ranging from students to adults, inside and outside of the School.
High ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and professionally with guests, students, faculty and all other departments within the school.
Functions as the traffic controller for all administrative offices including the Office of Admissions, Dean of Students, and the Welcome and Information Center.
Knowledgeable of the schools calendar and departmental schedules and needs.
Always seeks to educate self on the school, departments, students, parents, etc.
Professionally answers and redirects incoming calls to the school with minimal error.
Notifies faculty/students when gifts/packages/items are at the switchboard for pick up and follows-up as necessary.
Handles information in a confidential manner.
Serves as liaison for the Admissions and Dean of Student offices as defined below.
Is an independent, self-starter, constantly seeking to add additional value to the school.
Willingly performs other duties as assigned.
Admissions Liaison Specific DutiesManages parking lot welcome signs.
Manages screen signage and touch tables.
Dean of Students Liaison Specific DutiesSupports weekend leave request process for students.
Oversees or facilitates the student sign-in and sign-out process for all forms of leave (daily and overnight).
Oversees school vehicle check-in and check-out.
Communicates activity, weekend leave, and/or athletic updates to the on-duty faculty.
Supports positive vendor relationships (i.
e.
food delivery, tuxedo/corsages, etc).
Communicates student travel delays, changes, and needs by coordinating with the Director of Internal Operations as appropriate.
Occasional weekend support is needed for important Woodberry events.
Preferred Education and
Experience:
Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
One to three years of related experience working in a dynamic, customer-service based, and computerized office environment.
Previous experience in a school environment.
High level of computer competency, including Microsoft and Google applications.
Ability to learn and use a variety of school-specific software programs.
Most common hours are:
Friday evenings (4:
30p-10:
30p), Saturday (10a-6p), and Sunday (12:
30p-8:
30p).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
