Materials Expeditor

The Manufacturing Inventory Controller position is a key role within Simplimatic?s manufacturing process that is focused on ensuring the right inventory makes it to the production floor at the right time.? The successful execution of this role will drive corporate On Time Delivery metrics, enhanced production efficiency, and reduced operating costs.? The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and planning skills with a proactive mindset.

Primary Responsibilities

  • This position will be the primary Materials Team interface with the Production Team.

  • Coordinates the release of projects to the production floor.

  • Develops and maintains the Production Teams manufacturing capacity model.

  • Maintains and updates the Production Team?s production schedule.

  • Coordinates the efficient flow of materials in the manufacturing process using the expedite and shortage reports.

  • Processes the shortage report and addresses material shortages.

  • Provide daily feedback/updates on the status of parts impacting production schedules.

  • Escalates material issues to the Materials Manager.

  • Manages the return of materials/excess parts to inventory for project closeout and initiates discussions with Engineering on the root cause of the return.

  • Plans/schedules/manages the painting/coating of production parts.

  • Releases/allocates/adjusts inventory as needed to facilitate production.

  • Initiates/releases/responds to NCRs.

  • Releases/manages Supplier Corrective Actions.

  • Development, implementation, and deployment of process metrics (KPI?s).

  • Bachelor?s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain or minimum 5 years relevant Purchasing / Supply Chain experience.

  • Experience/positional knowledge of scheduling/planning/procurement.

  • Ability to understand technical information including reading and interpreting drawings.

  • Ability to develop and use metrics to drive process improvement.

  • Experience in a high-volume SKU environment.

  • Detailed focus with a high degree of transactional accuracy.

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively (written/verbal).

  • Ability to adapt and plan accordingly in an evolving environment.

  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
