Job Description
Position Summary
3rd shift
Safely and knowledgeably perform maintenance, repairs, set-up, new installations, modifications/upgrades, training, etc., on any of the equipment or systems that are the responsibility of Facilties Maintenance Department. This includes a demonstrated proficiency in performing all Facilities Maintenance Techncian duties. Certain aspects of this job may require that the individual work under the direction of the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Specialist.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
+ Maintain proper documentation for all maintenance activities.
+ Perform emergency and corrective repairs on all facility related equipment.
+ Thoroughly perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and systems in order to maximize facility uptime and equipment availability.
+ Under supervision of Engineering Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Specialist, perform equipment installations or modifications as required.
+ As directed by Maintenance Supervisor, act as a contact/resource for vendors on equipment or systems.
+ Assist or support other maintenance technicians as required in the accomplishment of duties/assignments.
+ Assist in developing new equipment PM procedures, LOTOs and SOPs as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
+ Assist V&TS as required with IQ/OQ of equipment or systems.
+ Safely operate hand and power tools as well as shop equipment including drill press, milling machine, lathe, welder, grinders, etc.
+ Help maintain appropriate critical spare parts inventory for facility equipment.
+ Operate the Building Automation System (BAS) to validated standards.
+ Utilize various electrical, HVAC or other test equipment and meters as applicable to effectively troubleshoot equipment and systems.
+ Periodically be on call
+ Work overtime and respond to emergencies as required.
+ Represent the Company and the maintenance department in a professional manner.
+ Physical demands of job include working indoors and outdoors; occasionally lifting heavy objects; working at heights from lifts or ladders while wearing fall protection equipment; bending, crawling stooping, walking or standing.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
_Education:_
Applied Science or technical degree in a maintenance trade or equivalent combination of post secondary education, technical training and/or work experience associated with mechanical and/or electrical fields.
_Credentials:_
Should be working toward obtaining Journeyman level license as certified by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
